Flow

Source: http://www.mindvalleyinsights.com/happiness-is-the-new-productivity/Today I was watching a video of Vishen Lakhiani, founder of MindValley, talking about being happy in a company.  In his talk about how MindValley was started and why it is successful (pertains to culture), Vishen mentions “flow” and the definition.  He uses the definition from Wikipedia:

“Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does.” — source: Wikipedia

Source: http://www.cgu.edu/pages/10509.aspThis definition is from one of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s works, which I use in some of my entrepreneurship and creative courses.  But I did not make the connection between “flow” and “xmersion” until listening to Vishen’s talk.  There are similarities of “flow” and the term “xmersion”.
